Academic Coursework

The second component of UCCSlead is academic coursework. This requirement is in place to enhance a UCCS student’s overall leadership development by providing an academic perspective on leadership theory and practice. The courses offered were selected to complement, not repeat, content delivered in the training modules. Course requirements for certificate levels are as follows:

Transformative Leadership Certificate: 1 upper division course

Breakthrough Leadership Certificate: 2 upper division courses

High Impact Leadership Certificate: 3 upper division courses (COMM 4950 required)
